This morning I woke up on cloud 9!!! I had just received the file to professional photos of my home. The home that I have been wanting to sell for over a year. It has been an up hill battle to get to the point were those photos could be taken. From finding the photographer to wrapping up all the little projects that needed completed to just the busyness of life (homeschool, work , family, etc) it seemed like it would never get done. And, not only were the photos done but they far surpassed my expectations. They were jaw dropping!!! Suddenly I realized all the time I spent making unsuccessful phone calls to photographers seemed even more worth it. All the work we did on landscaping, all the painting, all the sweat equity finally felt worth. I felt as though that dream that I have been longing for the past year was at my fingertips. I was about to move.....

I drink a cup or a pot of coffee, called one of my loan officers on a current home sale and our conversation quickly moved from the loan/home to God. We had the most amazing conversation uplifting and sharing with one another what God was doing in our lives. It was such sweet conversation and I hung up feeling even more encouraged.
I felt so good that I thought about making a post about God and being on cloud 9 and giving him all the praise. As soon as that thought came it was quickly followed by negativity. I quickly brushed the idea to the side and knew that I should avoid that trap. As soon as I posted that I knew it would quickly turn to disappointment. Something bad would happen to kill my joy. I decided to keep my little secret and not share my enthusiasm with the social media world.
I carried on with my day sharing my excitement with my husband which was not so welcomed at such an early time in the morning. I should have waited to pounce him with positivity after he had that first cup of coffee. Ha!
Then it happened......one thing right after another came at me. Tonight I found myself on my knees in tears. My happiness was indeed robbed by disappointment. I received a painful shock from one of my very own family members. The response I had expected to receive of their help and cooperation with a major decision for our family was denied. It changes everything for us. All I could do was realize my powerlessness over the situation and quickly turn the matter over to God's authority.
But that wasn't it. Still yet, it kept piling on. But I am quick to remind myself that God knows the true intentions of my heart. He knows about my desire to prosper the gospel and that is why I am facing such opposition. And I remind myself and my husband of this passage that puts it all in perspective.......

It will all work out. I will seek God in this and I will see the victory. I don't know how or when this situation will work out but I know who is in control of it. My job is to pray and continue to seek him and his knowledge and wisdom to get through this.
So what are you hoping for?
What dreams have you been longing to see come to pass???
Do you experience joy and happiness only to expect it to be stolen away?
Are you seeking for God to right the wrong in a situation in your life?
I am here with you friend. Hoping, dreaming, and seeking God. The keeper of my heart. My joy may be quickly stolen from me but our Hope isn't in this world friend. If we had hope in this world only we would be disappointed continually. Praise God!
